Ever expanding the items you can get in the game, Epic is adding a new addition to the Fortnite player’s arsenal this week.
Balloons!
Being a pretty family friendly game, Fortnite isn’t going the Stephen King route with these colorful bits of inflated rubber. It appears that Epic is taking a cue from Pixar – the balloons will make you float away, high above the other players.
There’s a lot we don’t know about the balloons just yet. It seems like they are a consumable item, and that the more balloons you have, the higher you can float. How much control you’ll have in the air is unclear. I would think your enemies would be able to shoot your balloons, making you drop from the sky like Wile E. Coyote walking off the side of a mountain and looking down, so be careful when you’re up there.
The new balloons should be showing up in Fortnite tomorrow if Epic sticks to their usual schedule.
