MediEvil Remake Trailer

The First Trailer for the MediEvil Remake Rises From the Grave!

It was 20 years ago this month that MediEvil was first released, and we gamers rejoiced. The game – a hack and slash with a load of Halloween infused style – was a hit with critics and gamers all around.

For you youngins, MediEvil was an action/comedy game that told the tale of Sir Daniel Fortesque, a legendary fighter who gave his life to save the kingdom of Gallowmere from the evils of Zarok and his army of the undead. 100 years after the battle, Zarok returned. Raising the dead to form a new army, Zarok ends up bringing back Sir Daniel as well, and more than just the dead come into the light (but we don’t want to spoil anything)!

From there you can probably figure out what you need to do – play as Sir Daniel and save Gallowmere from evil!

MediEvil 2 (or MediEvil IIif you want to get fancy) was released two years later to solid reviews. In 2005 MediEvil: Resurrection, a reimagining of the first game, was released on PSP. After that, we suppose Sir Daniel went back to his grave for a long rest.

Lucky for us, that rest is coming to an end! To celebrate the spookiest day of the year, Sony and Other Ocean Interactive have released the first trailer for the MediEvil remake!

Keeping the same art style that made the game stand out from the crowd way back when, the new MediEvil looks like it’ll be a surefire blast to play. Sir Daniel is back in all his jawless, left eye missing glory! MediEvil will be hitting PS4 next year, and we can’t wait!
